The 31st annual Great Selby Bike Ride is on Sunday 7th May 2017, run by Selby District Lions Club. It starts at 10am at Barlby High School and you can choose from a 45 mile or 25 mile bike ride.

There will be refeshments available as well as a memento for all who complete the course and awards for the highest individual sponsorship.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the Selby Lions Website www.selbylions.org.uk/ or the following places: Selby Times office, The Crescent in Selby, Selby Bike Centre, Halfords on Three Lakes Retail Park and other cycle shops in the area.

Last year the event raised £7000 and funds go to St Leonard's Hospice, Martin House Hospice, British Heart Foundation, Action For Children and other local charities supported by Selby Lions

Leeds Mercury will be supporting this event I will be entering 4 teams of riders so if you'd like to join us please let me know the cost per rider will be £4.  Last year we had a wonderful day out, it was fantastic to ride togther as a club. The route is fully marshalled, mostly flat and is suitable for all riders who can complete 25 miles. However the roads are NOT closed and so children MUST be accompanied and ride WITH their parent/carer.
